Why brands get verified
"Non-comedogenic" is an unregulated marketing word, and acne-prone shoppers know it. An independent, ingredient-level check is far more convincing. Verified products get a third-party badge, a listing in our product directory, and link to a public report of the screened ingredient list.
How it works
- You send us the product's full INCI list.
- We screen every ingredient for pore-clogging (comedogenic 3+) and fungal-acne (Malassezia) triggers.
- If it passes, you receive the Acne-Safe Verified badge, a public report page, and a directory listing. If it doesn't, we tell you exactly which ingredients to reformulate.
