Embed the ingredient checker on your site

Skincare blog, indie brand, esthetician, Shopify store: give your visitors a working comedogenic checker without building one. One line of code, free, no signup, no tracking of your visitors.

Live demo

Add it to your page

Paste this where you want the checker to appear:

<div id="acnesafecheck"></div>
<script src="https://acnesafecheck.com/embed.js" async></script>

Works on WordPress (Custom HTML block), Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, Notion-style page builders that allow embeds, and plain HTML. Multiple widgets per page: use <div data-acnesafecheck></div> for each.

What it does

Visitors paste an INCI list; the widget calls the AcneSafeCheck API and shows every recognised ingredient with its 0–5 comedogenic rating and a 🍄 flag for fungal-acne (Malassezia) triggers. Ingredient names link to the full breakdown pages. Results come from the same 559-ingredient open database as the main site.

Terms (short version)

Privacy

The widget sets no cookies and loads no analytics on your page. The only request it makes is the ingredient text your visitor submits, sent to acnesafecheck.com to be rated.

Brands can also apply for the Acne-Safe Verified badge, and developers can use the JSON API or download the dataset (CC BY 4.0) directly.
